Environmental Manager

Raul Rubio

Raúl joined Pacífico Mexinol in 2024 and specializes in environmental management and compliance. He has worked on environmental projects in mining, energy, oil & gas, tourism, and construction. His experience includes permitting, environmental remediation, risk management, and compliance with national and international regulations such as the IFC and the Equator Principles. He also holds certifications in Clean Industry (PROFEPA) and corporate social responsibility (CEMEFI), and has developed environmental management systems under ISO 14001.
Communications Manager

Helaman Gamez

Helaman Gámez joined Mexinol in 2024. He has over 10 years of experience in project administration and management in both foreign and national companies, within the construction, logistics, and property and real estate management industries. Additionally, he has more than 5 years of experience in developing communication strategies and content for social media and websites. He holds a degree in Business Administration with a specialization in International Business from the Tecnológico Superior de Cajeme.

Magdalena López

Since 2025, Magdalena has been part of Pacífico Mexinol. Her experience spans industry, transportation, and hospitality, backed by over 20 years in both the public and private sectors.
She has led human resources and organizational development projects, and as a consultant, she has designed strategies for recruitment, harassment and violence prevention, gender equality and inclusion training, and regulatory compliance.
She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master's degree in Social Sciences, and has recently earned certifications in Gender Studies.
Community and Gender Manager

Lucero Gastélum

Lucero Gastélum joined Pacífico Mexinol in 2024. She is a forestry engineer with more than 15 years of experience in the management and administration of socio-environmental projects in ejidos (common lands) and communities. She is also an expert in coordinating interdisciplinary groups to achieve specific objectives and holds certifications from CONAFOR and SEMARNAT in forestry and wildlife management, management and utilization, as well as in the implementation of agroforestry systems and the creation of Community Forest Enterprises. She is also a Peer Evaluator (COPAES, CIEES).
Security Manager

Luis Mundo

Luis joined Pacífico Mexinol in 2024. He is a security and criminology specialist with over a decade of experience in the mining and energy sectors (oil and gas), among others. Throughout his career, he has designed and implemented comprehensive risk analysis, loss control, and asset protection strategies in highly complex environments. His experience in conflict-ridden regions of Mexico and Latin America has allowed him to consolidate a strategic and preventive vision against critical threats, fully aligned with business objectives.
Social Performance Manager

Servando Bojórquez

Servando Bojórquez joined Pacífico Mexinol in May 2022. He is a specialist in free, prior, and informed consultation (FPIC), community relations, and social management, with a focus on international standards (ILO, IFC, ESG). He has more than 15 years of experience in the public, private, and academic sectors. His background includes positions in Mexican government institutions such as the National Institute of Public Policy (INPI) and the Center for the Development of Indigenous Peoples (CDI), in addition to experience as a consultant in the mining sector, legislative processes, and public administration. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in social sciences from the Autonomous Indigenous University of Mexico.
Marketing and Communications Lead

Renata Gil

Renata joined Pacífico Mexinol in 2025 through her academic exchange and is currently a full-time member of the team. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from the Universidad Autónoma de Occidente, specializing in Business Strategy Management.

Her experience includes managing digital platforms and coordinating initiatives aimed at strengthening the project's presence and reputation. Her approach combines creativity, analysis, and alignment with the company's strategic objectives.

Chief Executive Officer

Rommel Gallo

Rommel founded Transition Industries in 2021. As CEO, he is responsible for establishing and executing core development strategies. In his 20-year career, Rommel has executed more than US$35 billion worth of financial transactions, primarily in the energy industry. Prior to founding the Company, Rommel was Vice President and head of Latin America at Fieldstone Partners, a merchant banking firm based in Houston, Texas. Previously, Rommel was an energy investment banker at Citigroup and Wells Fargo and worked as a public finance attorney at Greenberg Traurig P.A. He earned an A.B. from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School, a Juris Doctor from Columbia University School of Law, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Director of Engineering and Technology

Balmore Jose Brito Lastra

Balmore joined Transition Industries in 2021. He leads the evaluation, selection and implementation of Mexinol’s production technologies and serves as the Mexinol Project Director. He has 25+ years of experience in Oil & Gas, Chemical, and Petrochemical Engineering, including engineering and project management of conceptual, FEED and execution stages of multi-billion-dollar energy projects, including with Eni, Lukoil, PDVSA/Conoco Phillips and Schlumberger. He has a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Project Management.

Jose R. Phillips G.

Jose joined the Transition Industries’ Engineering and Technologies Department in 2024. A seasoned Project Engineering Manager and Engineering Consultant with over 33 years of international experience, delivering high-value projects exceeding $4 billion across Venezuela, Nigeria, Egypt, UAE, Iraq, Jordan, and Italy. Expertise spans cost estimation, budgeting, contracting, and supervision, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and international regulations. His experience includes managing multi-disciplinary teams and driving excellence in complex, large-scale industrial developments.

Diego Martinez Valente

Diego joined Transition Industries in 2022. He leads operations, project marketing, project sourcing and procurement efforts. He has 20+ years of experience in Oil & Gas and Renewables Development, including as the Director of Projects Services for TechnipFMC, overseeing Cost, Schedule and Risk for all NAM Subsea Projects. He also has experience as a corporate controller for multi-billion dollar projects. He holds a Masters of International Accounting from Buenos Aires University.

Karin Nunan

Karin joined Transition Industries in 2022. She is responsible for public and government affairs, media relations, and corporate social responsibility; she has 25+ years of experience in sustainable finance and global energy development. As a former diplomat, she has lived and worked across the globe. She has also managed social performance on billion-dollar development projects for ExxonMobil and Chevron. For the past decade she has been focused on sustainable finance throughout LATAM. She holds a BS in Civil Engineering, an International MBA, and a Masters in International Relations.

Jeff Shieh

Jeff joined Transition Industries in 2025. He leads strategic finance and corporate development activities. Jeff has 13 years of experience in project finance and private equity investments across energy, power, transportation, waste, and industrials. Previously, he oversaw new acquisitions and asset management of power generation and marine shipping holdings at Ullico Infrastructure Fund and Ceiba Energy, a portfolio company of Denham Capital. Jeff has executed more than US$20 billion in M&A and financing transactions in North America and South America. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with High Honors from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration with Honors from the University of Pennsylvania.
Director of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)

Thomas Roche

Thomas joined Transition Industries in 2021. He is responsible for the evaluation of sustainable and ethical practices, project feasibility assessment and project development facilitation. He has decades of experience in the chemicals industry in project development, including M&A, HSSE Due Diligence, EIAs, EHS Management Systems Assessment and Improvement, Project Feasibility Assessments, Project Development Facilitation and Permitting. He has a MBA from Cornell University and a Masters in Environmental Engineering.
Head of Methanol Marketing

Mike Radermacher

Mike joined Transition Industries in 2024. He has over 40 years of global energy industry marketing, procurement and trading experience including methanol, natural gas, coal, petrochemicals, renewable fuels and derivative products. His experience includes Corporate P&L responsibility for a US Gulf Coast methanol manufacturing facility owned by a diversified chemical manufacturer, and has been trading methanol, renewable fuels and petrochemical products on a global basis for the past 25 years. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University.
